United Way of Jefferson & North Walworth Counties publicly recognizes racism as a public health crisis. Our organization understands racism is a root cause of inequity in our society and stands in total opposition to all acts of racism and discrimination. We are actively working on becoming anti-racist and leveraging all our assets to create a more environment were all people in our communities are valued and safe.
Our mission to fight for the health, education and financial stability of every person in our communities calls on us to confront the challenges and disparities that exist within our communities and actively participate in work that focuses on dismantling systemic, institutional and historical barriers that aid in predicting socio-economic, education and health outcomes for individuals based on their race, gender, sexual orientation and other identities.
